Terri began her modeling career as a 44-year-old grandmother when she answered an ad in the local paper for a in-house fit model at Lane Bryant in Columbus, Ohio. After nine years at Lane Bryant, Terri signed with FORD NY Models and moved to New York to pursue the opportunity of a lifetime. She is a fit and intimate apparel expert. She has modeled in Hong Kong, Sri Lanka, Canada, and Indonesia. Terri was the fit model at QVC, plus fit model at MSA Models in New York City as well as fitting for many of her own clients. Terri performed in an Off Off Broadway Play, "Welcome to Betsy's R & B Party" at the Producer's Club in NYC, April 2013.
In recent years, Terri has found new ways to bring her extensive expertise in image consulting and modeling to the public. She has become a guest lecturer and educator, with her popular seminars “Lingerie and Lace: A Lesson in Allure” and “Six Steps to Fashionably Fitting the Voluptuous Woman” featured by the Fashion Societé. She has taught “Know Your Foundations” at the Plus Academy NYC, as well as other individualized classes. She has also taught and adjudicated for the Imatge Consulting Company of Mexico City. In her limited free time, she volunteers backstage as a stylist during Fashion Week, the Swarovski Red Dress Event, Broadway Cares, and DIVABETICS to name a few. She's dressed Lainie Kazan, Joan Collins, Billie Jean King and worked backstage at the finale on Project Runway.
As an industry veteran, Terri has been invited to speak in a number of public forums. You might have seen her on The Tyra Banks Show talking about her weight and its role in the end of her 21-year marriage, on The Today Show as the “glamorous grandma,” in Plus Model' Magazine's 2011 “Icon” issue, freelance writer and heard her on Chenese Lewis’ Blog Talk Radio. Or perhaps you saw her as a panelist at the "Women In the Spotlight Now" conference in Atlanta! Currently, she is quoted in "Get Noticed! Insider Secrets to a Confident & Classy Image" by Brenda Joyce Johnson.Behind the camera, Terri produced, directed and edited "Vaudvillities," a documentary highlighting their success and continuous performances for over 65 years.
